Can you tell us a little bit more about your education and career background?

I am a second-year student at the University of Exeter, studying Art History and Visual Culture. I have recently become interested in the world of Digital Marketing yet have previously known little about it; hence I joined the course to jumpstart a possible career in marketing post university.

What influenced your decision to study Digital Marketing?

I have always been fascinated by the media and how certain brands choose to market themselves through the means of Digital Marketing. Choosing to study Art History and Visual Culture at university has enabled me to develop an interest in marketing outside of my studies, whilst additionally not closing any career path doors for the future.

How interactive was the Class/Workshop and what did you enjoy the most?

I enjoyed hearing about the other participants’ experiences, and it was great to meet all of them and learn from their own businesses. I particularly liked being shown how to create an ad campaign whilst using google analytics to simultaneously track the progress. The classes were increasingly interactive, making the load of information easier to grasp and comprehend, thereby enabling me to apply the content to my own brand initiatives.

Is there any advice you would give to participants that are considering taking a professional diploma in digital marketing at London School of Digital Marketing?

As a university student, I did not go into the course working with a company or an aim to market them. This was clearly not a problem; however, I believe the course could have been even more productive if I was using the course to target an audience for a specific company or brand. That said, I contradictorily enjoyed being able to use the content in a general sense, as I do not know what my future career will be post university and I am now able to apply this information to any job or startup of my choosing.

In one word, how would you describe your time the London School of Digital Marketing course content?

Informative.
